In word, Kronos Workforce Ready is solid. I recommend Workforce Ready for small and medium businesses, especially those who are looking for a strong workforce management solution, or deal with many hourly workers.
Kronos Workforce Ready’s strength is in workforce management, and also includes Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Absence Management, Payroll, HR, Hiring, and Labor Analytics.
Before you choose Kronos Workforce Ready, here are the key things you need to know.
First, Kronos have a strong history in workforce management - time and attendance, scheduling, absence management - and Workforce Ready is no exception. The solution does have broader HR, recruitment and analytics functionality, which is where Kronos is improving at the moment.
Second, I recommend you trial the user interface to see how it works. Some customers have reported that the web interface for Kronos Workforce Ready is a little difficult to use. I recommend you trial it for yourself - including the mobile apps - and make up your own mind.
Finally, security is good, but we’d like to see independent certification. Kronos host Workforce Ready in high-quality, high-security Savvis data centers. Kronos also employ dedicated security staff, and appear to have good security practices. However, we would like to see certification or independent audits against relevant security standards - like ISO27001. Kronos do meet SSAE 16 SOC1/SOC2, which is an indicator of good corporate controls.
For businesses up to 1,000 or so employees, looking for a workforce management solution, or if you have many hourly workers, I recommend you put Kronos Workforce Ready on your shortlist.
