In a word, ADP Vantage HCM is solid. I’d be happy to do business with ADP - they’re a mature, strong company - with half a million customers, and billions of dollars of revenue. Make sure you look beyond just Vantage, and at the other services ADP provides and they do make a good business partner.
Vantage is a full Human Capital Management suite - it covers HR, benefits, payroll, time and attendance, and talent management. Before you choose Vantage HCM, here are the key things you need to know:
First, Vantage has good mobile support. Vantage has an iPhone app, and also a mobile HTML version which works for Android, Blackberry or other mobile devices. This is a really sensible direction take, we’re happy with it.
Second, ADP have good security practices, and do take security seriously. However, we would like to see some independent security certification such as ISO27001. ADP do provide SAS 70 Level II audit reports, which show they have a good corporate environment.
Third, one of ADP Vantage HCM’s strengths is in its flexibility. As a suite, it is well-integrated. Vantage has strong workflow functionality and is very configurable, making it flexible enough for the vast majority of business needs. ADP is one of the largest companies in the market, and having put their weight behind Vantage it shows.
Finally, I recommend that you don’t just look at features, but think about end-user experience. Vantage HCM is a new service, and we have heard mixed reports about how user-friendly the system is, which I’m sure will improve over time. As with any major software implementation, make sure you interview reference sites, and trial the Vantage HCM user experience for yourself.
